How the Estimate Works

The calculator uses an effective MET that factors in experience level:[1]

Effective MET = Base Circuit MET × Experience Multiplier

Calories = (Effective MET × 3.5 × Wt_kg × Duration_min) ÷ 200

In interval mode, work intervals use the effective MET while rest intervals use resting MET (1.0). Total calories sum both phases.
